Ta'ir Wasserman works with individuals and couples around intimacy and sexuality, in English, Hebrew, and Dutch, in person and over Zoom.
What the work covers
Couples dynamics and how they play out in the bedroom. Sexual difficulties including pain, low desire, and the physical and medical conditions that affect them. Sexual development and education across the stages of life. The effects of trauma, sexual and otherwise, on a person's intimate life and on a couple's.
How she works
She is trained in EFT, IFS, AEDP, and the Gottman Method, and draws on them together rather than working in one model. Underlying the work is an understanding of sexuality as an emotional language, and of an intimate life as something a couple builds together rather than something either partner arrives with.
She has particular experience helping couples build an intimate life when one or both partners are survivors of sexual trauma.
Within religious life
Intimacy is one of the most powerful and most hidden parts of a life. It can be among the most beautiful things a couple has, and among the most painful. In religious life it carries a further layer: questions of hashkafa, and the question of how Hashem belongs in that part of a marriage.
Holding all of it at once is an art. Ta'ir's work is to help couples reach an intimate life that is fulfilling, healthy, joyful, safe, connected, and spiritual.
